The first still from the upcoming sci-fi action movie Riddick: Fury has surfaced online, heightening anticipation for Vin Diesel's return to the iconic Riddick series. The new installment of the franchise was announced back in February last year, and now that filming is set to begin this year, Vin Diesel has shared a mysterious photo from the movie via his social media accounts.
The photo possibly shows a young Riddick or his tribesman from his home planet. In the movie's plot, Riddick finally reaches the planet Furya, but a deadly threat looms over his home, which could lead to flashbacks from his past.
Preparations for the movie are already in full swing, and the active phase is planned for the second half of this summer. The movie is being produced by Vin Diesel himself, who has also enlisted the help of original film director David Touhy. Riddick: Fury is scheduled to premiere in 2025.
