The new cars were not lacking either.
EA and Criterion Games have unveiled the seventh content update for Need for Speed Unbound called Drift & Drag. The patch added drift and drag races, as well as new cars to the arcade racing project.
For drifting the developers included a special type of tires that improves handling.
The main innovations of the update Drift & Drag:
- Drift and Drag racing - modes are available in both PvP and free ride.
- League mode has been introduced in Free Ride, adding single-player mode elements to the online mode. Gamers complete challenges and compete against experienced racers. The mode is inspired by the Underground Racing League from NFS Underground.
- The new cars are the '23 BMW M3 Competition Touring and the '24 Ford Mustang Dark Horse.
- Cars for the premium battle pass - Nissan 350Z from Underground 2, Nissan Skyline from Underground, Mitsubishi Eclipse from Underground.
Need for Speed Unbound is available on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The project is included in EA Play and Xbox Game Pass subscriptions.
