An expanded version of Hogwarts Legacy is in development

Well-known insider and journalist Jason Schreier of Bloomberg reported that Warner Bros. Games is planning to expand its collaboration between different studios. One of the results of this will be the release of an expanded version of Hogwarts Legacy, which will be subtitled Director's Cut.

In addition to Avalanche Software's core team, Rocksteady, known for Batman: Arkham and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, will be working on this edition. However, the exact release date of the extended version of Hogwarts Legacy is not revealed yet — it has not been officially announced yet.

In addition, Schreier noted that the Rocksteady management is ready to share ideas for its next game, which will return the studio to its roots and will focus on single-player. This is due to the fact that the multiplayer project Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League did not meet expectations.

In early June 2024, the developers of Hogwarts Legacy already released a major update that added a photo mode to the game, unique items like Harry Potter glasses and fixed a number of bugs in the interface and gameplay.
