At The Game Awards 2021, Telltale Games announced a partnership with Deck Nine Games, developer of Life Is Strange: True Colors .
The two companies are joining forces to create The Expanse, an episodic sci-fi game based on the popular Amazon Prime TV show The Expanse. At the same time, fans were unhappy with the lack of any information about The Wolf Among Us 2 .
However, Telltale Games said that in a few weeks the next issue of Game Informer magazine (#342) will be released, and it will talk in detail about the second part of the popular game.
Back in December 2019, we revealed that TWAU2 was entering pre-production. The team is hard at work, but you may have noticed that we don't have anything new to say about it for The Game Awards.
We know that you, our fans, have shown incredible patience and support. We also know that you have a ton of questions about what's going on in Telltale (and Fabletown) - we see them every day on social media.
The good news is that we will be able to answer some of your questions soon...
That's why we're going to be on Game Informer issue 342, which will be out in just a couple of weeks! We're going to talk about our games, working on the new engine, and how Telltale is rebuilding the new studio.
The Wolf Among Us 2 was announced back in 2017. But in 2018, the company ran into financial problems and had to lay off part of the team. The project has been frozen. Then LCG Entertainment helped Telltale out of debt, and the studio was reborn. It was then, during The Game Awards 2019, that the resumption of work on the title was announced.
The project is codenamed Half-Life X.
We are talking about the full release of version 1.0.
