Several reliable insiders at once, citing trusted sources, confirmed: you should not expect the release of Dragon Age 4 in 2022.
Last week, authoritative insider Tom Henderson claimed that his "source with knowledge of EA's plans said there is 'no chance' of Dragon Age 4 coming in 2022." This statement was supported by Venturebeat , stating that "this is not due to any delays or problems in development - EA has long known that BioWare has no plans to release the game in 2022."

All this is also confirmed by last year's reports, which said that in the case of Dragon Age 4, EA and BioWare are guided by 2023. On the other hand, Venturebeat also states that this window indicates the start of next year. According to the publication, the earliest potential release time for the game is summer 2023. But this is not a realistic goal, so the release date will most likely shift to at least autumn.
While the long-awaited fantasy adventure won't be out until 18 months from now, it's likely we'll see the game much sooner. Venturebeat speculates that "EA hasn't decided when to start promoting the project yet," but it could very well be highlighted during the upcoming summer press conferences and trade shows. Or at the December Game Awards 2022.
At this point, we don't know much about Dragon Age 4. Except for BioWare's repeated claims that it will be a single-player game where the decisions you make will be a key part of it. Probably, the RPG will be released on PC and current generation consoles only (PS5, Xbox Series X). This is logical, given that the benchmark is the second half of 2023.
