According to Blizzard Entertainment's recently released financial report, in which Activision shared profit and loss information, the classic Warcraft franchise will make its way to mobile devices by the end of this year.
There is currently little information on the mobile version, except that Blizzard is "planning to release a lot of new content for the Warcraft franchise in 2022." According to Activision, the project will be standalone and unrelated to World of Warcraft and Hearthstone, and will offer players a completely "new experience".
Mobile Warcraft will be Blizzard's first attempt to bring one of its most popular franchises to mobile devices since the failure of Diablo Immortal . Announced at BlizzCon 2018, free-to-play action RPG Diablo Immortal immediately received a flurry of negative feedback from fans.
