AC Shadows Walkthrough

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is a new chapter of the famous game series from Ubisoft. The story is presented as a set of missions with different levels of difficulty. This material analyzes in detail all the storylines, possible choices, their consequences and strategies for completing them. You will learn how to complete each task, which characters are best suited for certain situations and what rewards await you for successful completion.

Prologue

The Lord's Grace

The guide will reveal the basics of the memory system.

March 8, 1581, Kyoto, Japan. Portuguese holy father Alessandro Valignano meets with Prince Oda Nobunaga. We play as the priest's dark-skinned assistant, Diogo.

Objective: Follow Akechi Mitsuhide. We walk down the street, following the priest step by step. When we get to the courtyard, the prince, who has returned from hunting, will appear on horseback. Father Valignano will present the prince with a hand-made throne, but Nobunaga's attention will be drawn more to the dark man. We will talk to him alone. Nobunaga will allow Christian preachers to travel around Japan, but in exchange he will keep Diogo with him.

The Spirit of the Warrior

Six months later. September 30, 1581, Iga.

Objective: Kill the Iga shinobi. We will join the attack on the Iga village. Together with the samurai, we will have to exterminate the local warriors. We are dressed in heavy samurai armor and armed with a katana. Among the enemies, there are shinobi who can block blows. We must destroy two of these enemies.

Objective: Join Oda Nobunaga. We approach the horse and sit next to Nobunaga. Together, we examine the destroyed village of rebels.

Flames of War

Objective: Reach the entrance to the castle. We climb the road to Mibuno Castle. We meet only weak enemies along the way.

Objective: Destroy the fortified door. We run up and shoulder-blow the inner gate. An entire army of enemies awaits us behind it.

Objective: Reach the top of the castle. In the next courtyard, we will see an ally using a firearm. Behind the broken door, we encounter a shinobi and then break down a large gate.

Kakushiba-ikki Fight

Earlier that night. Fujibayashi Naoe and her father spot Nobunaga's advancing army from afar. They manage to hide in the Aekuni Shrine.

Objective: Follow Nagato. We rush through the burning village. The enemies open fire on us and knock us off our saddles. We dismount and engage in combat with Ashigaru, a swordsman who uses "red" attacks - they cannot be blocked, you just need to dodge them.

Objective: Help Sandayu. We engage in a fierce fight in the courtyard. After winning, my father will talk to Momochi Sandayu, the elder of the village. He will go with him, and he will give us the hidden blade and instruct us to protect the box at all costs.

Objective: Take the box.

Harima

Rengakei

In this quest, you will have to interact with various NPCs, follow them and make important decisions. The culmination will be a short fight in which you will be supported by the ronin you met earlier. Regardless of who you play for - Naoe or Yasuke - there will be no serious difficulties. During the mission, you will meet the second main character for the first time. After the conversation, you will be able to choose who to continue the walkthrough for. After completing this task, two new quests will open at once.

Echoes of War

Your characters go to the old port of Aga to search for a child. A trap awaits you here - the merchants will turn out to be enemies in disguise. It is better to complete this stage as Yasuke, and when it comes to infiltrating the Aga Hontokuji temple, it is preferable to use Naoe. You need to find three clues, the locations of which are marked on the map.

In the Shadow of Conspiracy

The heroes are searching for the missing guard commander Tokubei, who disappeared under strange circumstances. He is being held in a guarded area. You can attack the enemies head-on, act stealthily, or bypass the area. There are chests with valuable items in the courtyard, so clearing the area will be useful. It is important to disable the alarm bell in advance, using a ranged weapon or direct interaction. Tokubei is being held in a dungeon. After talking to him, the characters will get to the surface, where the guard will try to escape. However, he won't be able to run away for long - his stamina will quickly run out, and all you have to do is catch up with him.

Unexpected Encounter

This quest becomes available after completing the previous one. You will have your first serious fight with a boss - a ninja. The enemy uses explosive shells that create a smoke screen and cause damage. For defeating him, you will receive a rare item - Shinobi Order.

Next, you will have to meet Ukita Hideie, and then go to the Shinto priest. Soon a new character will appear - Ukita Naoe, known as the Nobleman. However, you will not have to fight him: he will raise the alarm and run away.

You can leave the scene of the battle or stay and fight a large number of enemies. For stealth kills, use smoke bombs, and for ranged attacks - shurikens. Despite the difficulty of the battle, you should not retreat, especially if you play as Yasuke.

The quest will end after defeating the last enemy. During the mission, you can visit three sacred places in the region, which will give you additional knowledge points.

Time Change

After completing the previous quest, the heroes will have to make their way to Himeji Castle, where they will meet Kuroda Kanbei. After the conversation, you will again be asked to choose who to continue playing for.

The next goal is the Honmaru Gate. There, Tokubei will meet you again. On the way, you will have to face two enemy warriors.

The next stage requires clearing the courtyard of enemies. Yasuke is ideal for this task. Then you will have a dialogue between Naoe and Kuroda. Soon Naoe will try to escape, and you will have to catch up with him. He hid at the top of the Tenshu Tower. Make your way up, destroying enemies on each floor. Be careful in narrow passages: use firearms, distract enemies, make stealth attacks. Do not forget to check locked rooms - you can find chests with valuable resources there.

At the top, you will see the final scene. After it is over, you will be able to choose which of the two main characters will deal the final blow to the Nobleman.
