Be warned that there will be plot spoilers below!

So, throughout the game you can make different decisions. It is always obvious which of them is good and which is bad. Flashes will fire (the screen will turn white). But in spite of everything, this does not affect anything! Only 2-3 dialogue phrases will change, but be that as it may, the Captain will still hand Sam a detonator and ask him to make a decision.

You can get two endings:

Ending 1

Hold the A key to blow up the submarine. You will see a video in which the submarine goes down with the Captain, Tom and his crew. After a while, Sam is shown sitting ??opposite the destroyed bridge of Vladivostok. He does not regret what he did and believes that he did the right thing. Sam does not lose hope that someday he will return to San Diego.

Ending 2

Hold down the D key or just do nothing. In this case, Sam will not blow up the boat, and the detonator will be on the seabed. After a while, we will be shown that Sam is on the mend, while the submarine is moving steadily towards the shores of North America. Time will pass and Sam will get to San Diego. Again, he feels no guilt, because the price he paid was worth it to return to his homeland. Credits.
