At some point, Merlin's trials will become available to you. They are divided into several different types, and it is important to understand exactly how to solve certain puzzles.
Light the torches: Light the torches around the platform using Incendio or Confringo. First, find these torches (there are usually 3 braziers), because you need to light them as quickly as possible, one after the other.
Illuminated Platforms: All you have to do is climb onto the nearest platform and jump over all the others without falling to the ground.
Cubes with Symbols: First you need to unlock the Flipendo spell. Then use it on the cubes with symbols so that they match those shown below. Cubes need to be rotated from two angles.
Gathering Moths: Next to the platform there will be three stone pillars with a hole inside. Use Lumos to move nearby moths to these platforms. There will be three groups of moths in total. Don't forget about Revelio, which highlights interactive and important objects.
Small Stone Spheres: Use movement spells such as Accio to move sets of five small stone balls onto platforms with holes. There are usually three such platforms in total.
Explode rocks: one of the easiest challenges. Use Confringo to blast crackledgreenish stones around the site.
Repairing Statues: Instead of destroying structures, you must repair them.
Magic Ball: Use Wingardium Leviosa or Accio to move the large stone ball onto the platform with the hole.
Another option is round balls on columns. There will be three sets of three columns in total. Just destroy all those orbs with Confringo.
