Anton Gorelkin, who holds the post of Deputy Head of the State Duma for Information Policy, proposed restricting the activities of the Twitch streaming service in Russia. According to the official, the site contributes to the spread of Russophobia, and also completely ignores the “landing” law, according to which foreign companies must open representative offices in the country for unhindered work.
As for Russian streamers, this will not be too big a loss, since Twitch has long since disabled content monetization for domestic bloggers. The latter had to either change the site (for example, to the increasingly popular Chinese analogue of Trovo), or do something else.
From the administration of Twitch, there has not yet been any reaction to this statement.
The success of the title is quite expected.
