Susan Wojcicki, CEO of video hosting YouTube, said that the service does not intend to stop its work in Russia. A company representative believes that now the resource provides independent news to the citizens of the Russian Federation, and therefore it is important for them to stay online and maintain work in the context of an aggravated crisis.
In addition, Ms. Wojcicki reminded that YouTube can be used not only for political purposes, but also for education and leisure. There are tons of videos on the service that will help people learn something new and cope with emerging problems.
It should be noted that “independent news” in the vision of the YouTube administration means blocking all pro-Russian videos and channels and displaying calls to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine in advertising.
But “this is different”, of course.
The success of the title is quite expected.
New heroes, new challenges.
