These films will be banned in Russia under the new law on LGBT propaganda (18+)

Earlier we wrote that the State Duma is considering a bill on a complete ban on LGBT propaganda (18+) . On July 18, amendments were made to the bill to completely ban LGBT propaganda.

The bill notes that the denial of family values (for example, supporting the childfree lifestyle) and the promotion of non-traditional sexual relations are prohibited.

If the bill comes into full force, then many films, including Russian ones, will be banned.

For example, this may apply to the Russian comedy "Two Hills", which tells the story of a society of women far from the traditional ideal, without diseases, violence, wars and men, where sex with a man is considered atavism and perversion.

The next in line is the Russian drama "Shiza", which shows the life of boarding school students. Some of them are LGBT people.

Further, the sensational Russian TV series "Chiki" may suffer. He received complaints from Roskomnadzor for "propaganda of LGBT and feminism."

Foreign series and films may also be banned, among which we highlight Sexual Education, Euphoria, Girls, Glee, Dawson's Creek, Gossip Girl, Beverly Hills, 90210 and many others.
