Warner Bros. Decided not to release the completed Batgirl movie

First, the film was supposed to be released on the HBO Max streaming service, and later the picture was supposed to appear on the screens of cinemas.

According to The Wrap , Warner Bros. has canceled the release of Batgirl, which had been filmed a few months ago. $90 million was spent on the project, but the management canceled the premiere. The head of the company felt that the picture was not so large-scale and decided not to continue marketing Batgirl.

Recall that the main role went to 27-year-old singer Leslie Grace. The filmmakers were Adil El Arbi and Bilal Fallah, directors of the third part of "Bad Boys". The film also stars Jonathan Simmons and Michael Keaton, with Brendan Fraser playing the villain. Such situations with the cancellation of the rental of an already completed film, on which such a lot of money was spent, are very rare.

Filming for Batgirl wrapped in April. The release date was scheduled for the end of 2022.
