BioShock will be directed by Francis Lawrence, who directed such films as Constantine, I Am Legend, and The Hunger Games. Michael Green will take over as screenwriter (Logan, Blade Runner 2049, American Gods, Smallville).
The release date of the film is still unknown, but it will definitely be released on the Netflix online cinema. At the moment, the director is working on the Hunger Games prequel, so he will not start working on BioShock soon.
BioShock takes place in 1960. The main character Jack gets into a plane crash and finds himself in the underwater city of Rapture.
