Rian Johnson continues work on his own Star Wars trilogy

In an interview with Empire, director Rian Johnson said that he never stopped working on his own Star Wars trilogy. Recall that a series of three films from Johnson was announced back in 2017.

When asked about the progress of the trilogy, Ryan stated the following:

If I can't return to this universe, then my heart will definitely break.

The director collaborates with Kathleen Kennedy, head of Lucasfilm. The director is currently working on other projects, including a sequel to Knives Out. According to him, at the first opportunity, he will completely switch to Star Wars.
