Russia may completely ban the sale of Hogwarts Legacy

Vitaly Borodin, head of the Federal Security and Anti-Corruption Project, has filed a request with the Prosecutor General's Office to block the sale of the new Hogwarts Legacy game in Russia. The official claims that this project, which was developed by the WB Games team, promotes non-traditional values that can adversely affect the minds of teenagers.

In fact, in Hogwarts Legacy there is an opportunity to create a non-binary character, which, apparently, is perceived by Mr. Borodin as propaganda of non-traditional values. By the way, the developers specifically added this moment to the game so that the fanatics of tolerance in the West would not be indignant and would not call for a boycott of the project because of the connections with the universe invented by JK Rowling.

It is noteworthy that Hogwarts Legacy is not officially sold on the territory of the Russian Federation, so if the deputy's initiative is approved, it will be interesting in what form the restrictions will be applied.
