Mel Gibson is director of Lethal Weapon 5

Mel Gibson has issued an official statement confirming that he will direct and star in Lethal Weapon 5. Filming of the action movie will start in 2022.

Gibson said that the director of the original parts, Richard Donner, personally asked him to continue filming in the event of his death.
