Lauren Hissrich, who is the showrunner of The Witcher, said that the creators and the film studio intend to release at least 7 seasons.
I like that our goal, towards which we are gradually moving, is 7 seasons. Because at some point I said that I would like to stretch the story for 20 seasons. And I'm glad nobody really expects us to do 20 seasons. I would die from this.
Lauren also said that the plot of the series will be close to the stories of the books. She believes that screenwriters will not have to violate the boundaries of Sapkowski's work. The studio also plans to shoot new Andrzej stories published in recent years.
The success of the title is quite expected.
