An insider Twitter account called Spanku revealed that NieR: Automata will be made into an anime adaptation. The post does not indicate how exactly the events of the project will repeat the plot of the game, but you can be sure that we will be told about the adventures of androids saving the Earth from the invasion of robotic invaders.
The rights to the NieR series belong to the Japanese studio Square Enix, and the talented game designer Yoko Taro is behind the creation of the franchise. Perhaps, first, the authors will remove the adaptation of the first part, and then talk about the continuation.
No release date has been announced for the anime yet.
