Valve no longer pays game developers from Russia, Ukraine and Belarus

Turns out it was a bank issue.
Valve no longer pays game developers from Russia, Ukraine and Belarus

Valve issued an appeal in which it commented on the recent news about the termination of payments to game developers whose offices are located in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus.

It turns out that the organization did not make decisions to terminate the cooperation agreement, the conditions for working with the bank through which payments pass to the designated offices have simply changed. The financial institution, according to Valve representatives, suspended all business with Belarusian gaming companies, and also began to demand information about other intermediary banks processing non-cash transfers by organizations from Ukraine and Russia.

At the moment, the Steam administration is analyzing the current situation and developing methods for making payments to developers. However, no progress in this matter should be expected until the end of March (as an option, wait for the issue to be resolved or choose another bank for payment on the digital platform).
