Marvel fans were ecstatic when they learned that Disney was buying Fox assets. This means that the X-Men or characters from the Merc With a Mouth comic book series will be able to join the MCU. Marvel Studios is already developing a script for Ryan Reynolds' third appearance as Wade Wilson, and the triquel has already become the franchise's first R-rated film.
Deadpool 3 will feature an almost entirely new creative team - Bob's Diner writers Wendy Molino and Lizzy Molino were brought in to write the story in place of Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. They were involved in writing scripts as early as the creation of the first two films in the franchise. No director has yet been attached to the triquel, and it looks like David Leitch won't be returning either. However, as was the case with his predecessors, Reynolds will not only reprise his role as an anti-hero (+ talkative mercenary), but will continue to be the main creative force behind the upcoming project. While plot details are still unavailable at this stage, Feige said work on the film's plot is well underway.
In addition to the exact release date of the picture, the question remains no less relevant - who will play the rest of the main roles in the third part of the franchise and what new characters they can introduce to us. Before the Fox purchase, the idea was to bring Domino (Zazie Beetz) and Cable (Josh Brolin) back for new adventures. Now their participation will depend solely on what kind of story the triquel will show us.
Reynolds had previously expressed his own assumption that filming would not begin until next year. Based on Reynolds' guess, it's entirely possible that the triquel could come out exactly between 2023 and 2024.
