Producer: Lollipop Chainsaw remake will retain the story and aesthetic of the original

“We don’t want to change the design of Juliet, so it’s unreasonable to assume such a thing.”
Producer: Lollipop Chainsaw remake will retain the story and aesthetic of the original

According to the producer, the upcoming remake of the cult classic Lollipop Chainsaw will not include major changes to the original's story or design.

This applies to any changes to the appearance of the main character, cheerleader Juliet Starling, who, in a slightly revealing outfit, fights her way through hordes of zombies throughout the game.

Producer Yoshimi Yasuda took to Twitter last night with a new statement about the remake, trying to clear up fans' confusion over a few lines from the project's original announcement.

In particular, the reference to a "more realistic look" has been interpreted by some fans to mean that the graphic style of the original will be changed. But Yasuda gave a clear answer: "It's not like that."

The mention that the game will look more realistic in the previous announcement referred to the fact that we will use the advanced rendering technology available in modern game consoles.

Other fans have speculated that this will lead to a change in the model of the main character, Juliet Starling.

We don't want to change Juliet's design, and this assumption is unfounded. We are the ones who over 10 years ago, by trial and error, created these Juliet models, so we feel attached to her more than anyone else.

After the announcement of the Lollipop Chainsaw remake, we learned that many fans are concerned about the censorship of the game.

We haven't discussed this with the platform owners yet, and so we can't say anything on the topic, but what we can say for sure is that we intend to negotiate with them to keep the game as close to the original as possible. .

The remake of Lollipop Chainsaw is due for release in 2023, and the main goal of its creation is to allow gamers to rejoin the long-forgotten classic, since at the moment the original is almost impossible to play due to compatibility issues.
