Hogwarts Legacy Gets First Grades Before Release

Publications began publishing reviews of Hogwarts Legacy , a game set in the Harry Potter universe. The action got pretty high marks. At the same time, the wonderful atmosphere of the magical world and well-thought-out side quests were noted.

On OpenCritic, the score remains within 86 points out of 100. On Metacritic, the situation is approximately the same: the PS5 version scored 86, Xbox Series X / S - 89, and PC - 83 points.

“In almost every aspect, Hogwarts Legacy has proven to be the Harry Potter RPG I've always wanted to play. The adventures in this open world perfectly convey the wonders of the wizarding universe - with memorable characters, a complex and nuanced combat system, and the perfectly rendered life of a Hogwarts student. All this "glued" me to the controller for dozens of hours. The experience is blurred by minor technical issues, a lackluster main story, and repetitive enemies, but it still didn't manage to take the game's spell on me." - IGN (90/100)

Of course, it was not without criticism. For example, the GamesRadar reviewer rated the game 7 out of 10. He praises the overall atmosphere of the game, but, in his opinion, many of the mechanics turned out to be superficial.

“The scenery and sound alone make Hogwarts Legacy the true Harry Potter dream game that fans have been waiting for. It has a lot of mysteries, places of worship and a lot of role-playing as a Hogwarts student. Hogwarts Legacy will release on February 10, 2023 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Those who pre-order the Deluxe version will be able to play tomorrow, February 7th. Versions for PS4 and Xbox One will be released on April 4, for Nintendo Switch on July 25.
