The Video Games Chronicle portal reported that Sony outsourced the development of the reboot of the Twisted Metal franchise to another studio. Initially, the guys from Lucid Games were supposed to deal with the project, but after the failure of their recent project Destruction Allstar, the management changed the decision.
Twisted Metal is now being worked on by an unnamed in-house Sony studio based in Europe, according to VGC. As for the possible change in the release date, the source of the portal does not state that this will somehow affect the schedule for the game to go on sale.
At the moment, the game is at a very early stage of development, and its tentative release is planned for 2023, along with the release of the series based on the franchise of the same name.
The success of the title is quite expected.
New heroes, new challenges.
Deadpool's world is dying.
No release date for the adaptation has been given yet.
