The CCP Games studio, which created and develops the space sandbox EVE Online , has announced the development of a new game with blockchain elements. To do this, the company raised more than $40 million, which was invested in the project by brands such as Andreessen Horowitz, Makers Fund, Bitkraft, Kingsway Capital, Nexon and Hashed.
So far, nothing is known about the game, except that its events will unfold in the EVE Online universe. It will somehow be possible to trade various in-game items in it, which will allow players, in theory, to earn money while spending time online.
CCP Games is not yet ready to share specific details of its new AAA title.
The project is codenamed Half-Life X.
