How to complete STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl and get the best ending


Chat with Sidorovich. If you select "beginner", then he will tell you a lot of useful information (in case you did not know about it). The information will appear on the PDA.

Sidorovich will be able to give you tasks of two different categories: regular work and special tasks. The second is related to the storyline. All the work that Sidorovich is given is mainly related to killing a stalker, mutants, or finding artifacts. We will tell you about the tasks below.


Collect information from the scout

The stalker, nicknamed Shustry, was heading to Sidorovich with the information you need, but in the end he disappeared. You must chat with the Wolf in the nearby village. Open your PDA, select the desired task and see where to go. The village is located in front, right at the exit from the bunker. If you see gray dots on the map, then know that they indicate the corpses of stalkers. Yellow dots mark living stalkers that are neutral to you, green dots are friendly targets, and red dots are enemies. You will learn from the Wolf that Nimble has been captured. Together with a group of stalkers you will free him.

Take the ammunition and talk to the stalkers who have moved closerto the desired point. You can not pick up dog tails until the Sidorovich quest related to work. Otherwise, the quest may hang. Move best on the road. On the right side there will be a base with serious military men, and it's too early for you to reach them. There will be stalkers on the sidelines, and one of them is dead. Another is wounded. You can give him the first aid kit, which you will find on the corpse of the stalker.

Go to Petrukha and say how you want to act - on your own or in a group. If you complete the task yourself, you will receive additional swag from the Wolf. But if you go with a group, then, firstly, make your task easier, and, secondly, you will receive the Medusa artifact.


There are not so many bandits at the base, but they know how to aim well. Hide in cover and, if necessary, use bandages and first aid kits using the shortcut keys. One of the enemies is armed with a shotgun. Take it after killing the enemy. When the camp is cleared, then try to find Nimble. It will be hidden in the far part of the red building, consisting of two tiers. Chat with Shustry and ZabEat a flash drive. Find out information about the bandits at the mill. So there will be a task related to the search for a special jacket.

Find an item (jacket)

You can complete this quest almost immediately. Open your PDA and select it. To search for a jacket, you must go up the slope, along the road, moving from the base where Nimble was. It is likely that on the way you will meet mutants. At the end of the road there will be an entrance to the tunnel. The same jacket is lying on the floor. This jacket will have to be taken to the village to the Wolf. Give the jacket to Shustrom to get an artifact. After that, you can visit the mill.


Mill

There will be no serious opponents at the mill. Find the bandit's corpse. If there is information about a cache on the roof, then climb it and crawl in the right direction. In the corner of this building, where the bandit's corpse was, you can find the bandit's jacket, next to the crates.

Collect information from the scout

Go back, look at the Wolf to get a reward depending on whether you yourself cleared the base or together with the stalkers. From the Wolf, you can get an additional quest related to clearing the camp. Go to Sidorovich in the bunker, give the flash drive. Get your well-deserved reward.


Climb onto the railroad embankment

Leave Sidorovich's bunker and run towards the railway bridge. To the left of the cluster of bandits you will find a passage with anomalies and a corpse. Search the body, then approach the tunnel and throw the bolt inside. For a few seconds, the anomaly will disappear - use this time to run further.

Learn from the Fox about the arrow

Run forward along the road until you see a wounded man in a dilapidated building. Give him a first aid kit and help fight off the creatures. In return, he will give some information on Strelok.


Meet Gray

Follow to the cordon and leave the border. Be careful, as a group of bandits will be waiting for you here. Once at the junkyard, run along the road to the hangar and help Gray fight off the attack of the bandits. Beforehand, you can visit the abandoned parking lot to help Bes. Find Strelka's stash

Deal with a dozen bandits on the first level of the dungeon and go down below. Here the bloodsucker will be waiting for you - we advise you not to fight him, but to run past. Search the room and find the flash drive in a small opening behind the map. Return to the corridor and follow to the exit. Before you leave the sewers, you will be attacked by the Controller: don't waste your time and rise to the surface!

Find military documents

After leaving the sewers, you find yourself at the building with the military. It is impossible to sneak past the patrols unnoticed, so you will have to kill all the enemies. Climb to the third floor and take away the case with Documents of the military . Now leave the Agroprom location and return to the Garbage.

You need to get to the transition to the Rostock location. When you find yourself near the gate, you will see a group of stalkers from the Duty squad. Until you help them deal with the mutants, they will not want to let you through to the next location. But, if you approach the gate and shoot at it several times, it will open. Thus, you will save a lot of time for the extermination of mutants. Once on Rostock, run forward and find the entrance to the 100 Roentgen bar. Talk to the Bartender to hand over the documents and get the next task.

Find documents in the underground laboratory

By the way, in the bar you can chat with other wanderers and take interesting tasks that can be completed during the passage of the story. But in this guide, we will not consider them, because everything is pretty monotonous there: kill a military man, find an artifact or cache, and so on.

?Return to the dump and get to the transition to the location "Dark Valley", which is in the east of the map. Once on it, go a little forward. On the left you will see a small pond and a concrete pipe. Get inside. Thus, you will get to the territory of the base, which is guarded by bandits. Stick to the markers on the map to kill and search the Hog's corpse. Now go down the street and go into the next building. Climb the stairs up and run forward to the very end to get out of the bandits' base.

Find the entrance to the underground laboratory

Finding the entrance to the X-18 laboratory is not difficult, but for this you will have to kill all the bandits that live in the abandoned factory. Inside the building itself, find the stairs that lead underground and go to the door. The door is locked, but you already have the Hog Key. Open it and go inside.

Find documents X-18

Go down the stairs and go to the combination lock. The required password can be found if you examine the corpse of a scientist in an orange suit, which lies in the shower room. Password: 1243 .

On the lower level, you will also need to find the password for the combination lock. Find the descent into the large hall, where you have to fight the Pseudogigant. This creature is not difficult, but it hits very hard. To begin with, you can throw a few grenades at it, and then finish it off with small arms. In the far right corner you will find another corpse of a scientist, after searching which you will receive the password to the door: 9524 .

Another anomaly awaits you in the command center, which can be destroyed. To do this, simply shoot at the glowing flying ball of energy. Find the metal ladder and pick up the documents in the wheelhouse, then watch the video on the engine.

Bring documents to the bartender

Now you need to get out of the underground laboratory X-18. You can do it the same way you came. Only now you have to deal with a dozen military men both inside the laboratory and on the surface. Get out onto the road and turn left. Run forward all the time to be on Cordon. If you wish, you can visit Sidorovich and show him the documents from the lab??torii. For this, he will kindly hand over 1000 rubles. In addition, the merchant can give a special task - " Steal the box from the checkpoint ." When you're ready, return to the Bartender and give him the papers.

Find documents in Lab X-16

Having handed over the documents to the Bartender, he immediately offers to go in search of the next stack of waste paper, but to another bunker. Leave the bar and turn left to get to the passage to the Wild Territory location. In the first building, an ambush of mercenaries awaits you. Kill them and follow forward to the transition to the location "Amber".

Take Kruglov to Yantar

As soon as you pass through the second cordon of mercenaries, you will see how their squad is shot down by a military helicopter. Only one scientist survived - Professor Kruglov. You need to bring him to Yantar. To get started, get to it (mark on the map) and accompany to the transition. You should not go far from the professor, as this will inevitably lead to his death. When the mercenaries are destroyed, make your way through the tunnel with anomalies, and then to Yantar.

If for some reason you were unable to save Kruglov, then search his corpse and take a flash drive with the results of the expedition.

Make radiation measurements

On Yantar, find the base of scientists and talk to Sakharov. He will ask to help Professor Kruglov (if he is still alive) to take measurements. This is a simple task: you just need to follow the character, killing mutants and zombified stalkers along the way. After the third measurement, a flashback will attack the main character. Exit the bus and help Kruglov up, then return to the bunker.

Infiltrate the lab

Leave the bunker and make your way to the wreckage of the crashed helicopter. Here lies the corpse of one of the scientists - Vasiliev. After searching the body, find the entrance to the factory. Follow the marker to find the entrance to the underground laboratory. Be careful, because there are a huge number of zombies and snorks on the territory of the plant.

Disable psi radiation

In the laboratory itself, a real hell awaits you. In addition to zombies, here the hero will be attacked by snorks, bloodsuckers and other creatures, including the controller. Run all the way straight until you get to the main laboratory room. A timer will turn on here, after which the protagonist will die. During this time, you need to find and turn off all the psi-radiation switches. You will find the first such switch on the first level, right in front of the stairs. On the second and third floors you will also find similarknife switches. To finally get rid of the emitter - go up to the command post and deactivate the last lever, then watch the cut-scene.

Get out of the lab

In the next room, the controller we mentioned earlier is waiting for you. To quickly get rid of him, get close to him and shoot him in the head. Thus, he will not hit you with psi-attacks, but only slowly follow the hero. Examine the corpse on the floor in the center of the room and take the documents from the X-16 laboratory. In the right corner of the room you will find a hole in the floor - jump in there and get out of the building. Now it remains only to bring the found documents to the Bartender and complete the quest.

Meet the guide

If you want to get the best ending, then this is the time to lay the foundation for this. The fact is that just after the events in the X-16 laboratory, a quest will appear in your PDA in which you need to meet with a certain Guide. It is not advertised in any way and you need to find and tag it yourself. H?To meet the Guide, return to Cordon and go to the railway bridge. Not far from it there is a destroyed building and talk to the right stalker.

He will say that the Doctor will be waiting in the Strelok's lair. This lair is located underground at the Agroprom, where at the beginning of the passage you found the Strelok flash drive. Once at the lair, the main character will fall into a stretch, after which a short cut-scene with the Doctor awaits you. He will talk about the cache in the hotel room in Pripyat, after which another story task " Cache in Pripyat " will become available. But now it's too early to perform it, first you need to turn off the Brain Scorcher.

Disable Brain Scorcher

You need to return to Rostock and go through the Army Stores to the Brain Scorcher. Along the way there will be many interesting quests related to Freedom and Duty. If you are not in a hurry, then we advise you to explore the area carefully and complete the quests that interest you.

Once on the territory, will they burn out?For brains, go a little further down the road and turn left. Here you will see two wagons, one of which is equipped with a Monolith sniper. Kill him and take the "Debt" suit, as well as the SVUmk2 sniper rifle. By the way, on the way to the burner on the Radar, you can search another room locked with a combination lock. To the left of the road you can see a long building that goes up the hill. At the end of this building there is a small bridge on which stands a sniper with an SVD. Right behind the sniper there is a door that can be opened with the code: 1287975 . Inside you will find only a few orange first aid kits.

When you find yourself at the bunker, get over the fence (you can use the tree that lies on the fence with branches). If you get over with the help of a tree, then turn right and immediately run into the tunnel.

In the bunker, run all the way forward until you get into the hall with the switch. Activate it and watch the cut-scene. Immediately below the switch there is a door locked with a combination lock. Leave the underground complex, but be careful, as the dungeon is now full of Monoliths. Once on the surface, turn right and run along the fence. At the very end, you will see a destroyed wall and a passage to the road.

Cache on Pripyat

It's time to find the cache and pick up a special device. Once at the location "Pripyat", ignore the group of stalkers and switch to the PDA for this task. Run forward down the street, then run through the tunnel to the inn. Enter the building and go up to the second floor. Here you will find documents , an army body armor and a decoder on a wooden shelf. Climb down and run past the Ferris wheel straight to the stadium. Watch the cut-scene.

Wish Maker

As soon as you go to the location with the sarcophagus, ?Run along the left fence, and at the end turn left. Follow all the way forward to get to the entrance to the building. Kill a few Monoliths, go into the building and find the passage to the sarcophagus on the left side of the room.

Run forward along the corridors killing the Monoliths along the way, but do not rush to be at the Wishmaster. When you climb the stairs to the third floor, on the left there will be an entrance to the Executor, and on the right you can find a metal staircase and a passage to a secret door. This passage is easy to find, as a yellow light is spinning above it.

Climb the stairs and open the door with the decoder. By the way, even if you did not find the decoder, you can open the door in a "cheat" way.
