Briefly about the situation. Your name is Jack, you are the chief of police, who turned 60 years old. Mayor Steward Rogers has signed your resignation. 180 days left to work. The mayor will personally visit your office and ask you not to get involved in anything during these 6 months. Troy Starr is the mayor's personal assistant. Rogers asks you to call him and pass on anything you would like to tell the mayor. Jack decides otherwise and sends Troy three letters.

shifts

The Friborg police are divided into two shifts that work day after day. Each shift has call-responding officers and detectives investigating. You can freely move employees from one shift to another.

Characteristics

Both officers and detectives have several important characteristics.

Professionalism

Professionalism shows the overall level of efficiency of a police officer. An indicator in the region of 150 is considered average: policemen who do not reach this mark cannot be called capable, but one can safely rely on those whose professionalism is noticeably higher than the average. Professionalism can both rise and fall in the course of service.

The number next to the asterisk.

Energy

The energy bar shows how tired the cop is. The less strength an employee has, the worse he works, and an exhausted police officer runs the risk of falling asleep at the wheel or making a critical mistake in the course of the task. An employee loses an energy point after each working day and regains one point after each day off.

This is the vertical bar to the right of the cop icon. It is divided into five sectors (five points).

Hidden Features

Some characteristics are hidden from you: for example, some cops are too lazy and tend to ask for time off home for any reason, while others like to drink too much. But this can only be guessed at. Or draw conclusions by observing the behavior of employees.

Challenges

The most common job of the police is to respond to calls. You need to have time to send the cops to the scene before the timer expires. By the marker on the map, you can tell where the call came from: the farther the destination is from the police station, the longer it will take to get there and back - which means the longer the cops will be unavailable for any other work.

Challenges: Slots

The easiest way to determine how difficult a task might be is to look at how many cops you're allowed to send on a challenge: the more slots you unlock, the more serious the perceived threat. On the most risky missions, you can also send a special forces team, but they must be accompanied by at least one officer.

But slots are not everything. Any information available, from the crime scene to the perpetrator's weapon, can tell you how seriously each case should be taken. A seemingly trifling mission can always turn into a brutal meat grinder. Or the call may turn out to be false.

Escape from the scene of the accident

This is your first mission. A husband and wife were leaving the store and saw how the van in the parking lot backed up and knocked down a homeless man who was digging in the bin. The driver jumped out to a scream, but calmly drove away when he saw that a bum had fallen under the wheels.

Fight

Cinema The Last Picture Show

The administrator of the cinema reported that a drunk man with a snowboard with the inscription "Rosebud" tried to get into the hall at the screening of the film "Citizen Kane". A few seconds later, the first group of police officers should arrive at the scene of the accident. You will receive a report. Click on the icon in the upper right corner of the screen, under the inscription "Messages".

If everything went extremely well, the police catch the criminal and no one dies. If things go a little worse, the criminal manages to escape. In the worst case scenario, the criminal may kill civilians or cops before escaping. The dead police officers do not worry the mayor's office too much, but the dead citizens infuriate the officials even more than the living ones.

The cops will contact you in the future and say that the same car is standing near the house, and laughter is heard from inside. You will have to give a direct order. If the situation becomes ambiguous, then the cops contact you and wait for direct instructions. Try to understand the essence of what is happening, but at the same time do not waste time, because you have a lot of other urgent things to do.

Overtime

If you think you might need extra cops, you can order the cop to come to the station the next day. Do not forget that they will also have to go on their shift. Thus, in one day, fatigue will accumulate by 3 units out of five possible.

Ranks

So, each cop, in addition to professionalism, has a title. The title can be one, two or three stripes. With each new badge, the professionalism of the cop increases, as well as his teamwork.

Once a week, you will receive one badge, which you can reward with one or another officer.

Hiring and firing cops

Go to the Cases tab. Go to the police station. Go to the Job Exchange tab.

You currently have 15/16 officer slots and 5/6 detective slots occupied. That is, without being fired, you can hire one officer and one cop.

Choose officers with a low rating. You can fire them legally or illegally. The second way can lead to serious consequences.

You can legally fire an officer who failed three missions in a row, is too old, drinks, or skipped work. Fire the old officers with low ratings and hire new ones with higher ratings in their place.

This whole procedure does not take place immediately, but after a while. The icons of the officers you dismiss will have a white cross. Therefore, pump professionalism to those cops who remain.

If you are asked by officers to stand outside a nightclub, be careful. You will receive additional money, but at the same time, an officer can earn as much in a day as he gets in a month in the police, which is why he quits.

From the very beginning, the first entry is about a pond in which a diver almost drowned. Aaron Coleman (from whom you heard about it) is still waiting for other divers.
