It looks like Netflix is set to release even more content focusing on the acclaimed The Witcher franchise, including a third season of the original series.
Netflix announces the third season of The Witcher, a new family-friendly anime and series

The second season of The Witcher is on its way, and Netflix has taken the opportunity to announce that it is renewing the series for a third season, as well as releasing an anime film and a brand new family-friendly TV show.

And that's not all! Netflix's Tudum Event showed two new clips from The Witcher season 2, as well as behind-the-scenes footage from The Witcher: Origins prequel.

The third season of The Witcher came as a surprise, as the second hasn't even come out yet. Netflix seems to be absolutely confident in the success of the TV show.

The company then talked about an anime film that will continue the direction set by The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, released earlier this year. The first anime film of the franchise was a prequel to the main Witcher and told the story of Vesemir, Geralt's mentor. He will also appear next season. Finally, the film company plans to release a children's series in an attempt to attract a young audience to the franchise.
