Along with recruiting new soldiers in Phoenix Point, the process of capturing living Pandorans is not as well explained. Below we tell you more about it!
The fact is that many research projects will be blocked until you find a suitable virus sample and prepare it for analysis. However, it is not entirely clear how exactly to do this. Easier said than done, because you need the right tools, and to do it without risking your soldiers, you also need to position them correctly.
Basically, in order to capture a living pandoran, you need to pick the right type of enemy and paralyze him using a weapon with the appropriate effect. After completing the mission, all paralyzed enemies will be automatically captured and taken to the base if there is room for them.

The perfect weapon for capturing enemies is the Neurazer, which you unlock by learning the Pandoran Capture and Containment early tech. However, you need to move to the next order first, since each subsequent goal is unlocked only when the previous one is reached:
Paralysis damage works according to a certain pattern. It is compared with the victim's power value, and then reduces the number of action points of this enemy by the corresponding value. For example, if you inflicted 15 paralyzing damage on an enemy with a power of 30, then the next turn he will have only 50% of his action points.
However, the most important thing about this is that if the damage from paralysis exceeds the value of the opponent's power, then this creature will be completely neutralized, and will no longer be able to act. For each turn, the level of paralysis decreases by 1, so if you want to capture someone, periodically look at the paralyzed target and add paralyzing damage. Also, be careful not to accidentally kill the enemy, as your weapons still deal physical damage.
Great advice for safetygo capture enemies:
The safest way to take on an enemy pandoran is to equip the melee weapon listed above on a stormtrooper with the Dash ability, which allows you to move into position without spending any of the four available action points. Thanks to this, you can spend all four points on hits, that is, in total, deal 32 points of paralyzing damage. This is enough to completely paralyze enemies with up to 32 strength.
By paralyzing and capturing the enemy, you are only half done. The second part - you need to have special places on the base for keeping the pandoran. Luckily, they're easy to get. There is only one building designed for this - Containment. You can build this design on any base where there is a room. But it will also require resources.
One such construction provides 50 free cells. Each type of enemy requires a certain number of them. Smaller creatures take up 1-2 slots, but larger creatures can require many more slots to contain. On the "Personnel" tab, you can find out about the status of the captured Pandorans and the number of free slots.
