As you progress through the story of Sons of the Forest (a first-person survival game currently in Early Access on Steam), you will come across the need to have several tools. The shovel is one of those! With its help, you can dig out bunkers scattered throughout the island.
Like other key items in Sons of the Forest , the shovel can be found in a complex system of caves, of which there are a lot in the game.
Where to find a ropetomyo, scuba gear and an air tank
To get a shovel, you will need a few items:
Rope launcher
Scuba
Air balloon
The location of these items is shown in the screenshot below:
Also, you will need a weapon to fight off the enemies inside the cave.
Where to get a shovel
Go to the cave west of the snowy mountains near the center of the map. At this point, three streams intersect with three corpses at the entrance. We recommend setting up a tent at the entrance to the cave in case something goes wrong inside.
Enter the cave and useuse the rope launcher to go down the cable.
Look to the left for a body of water and prepare to dive by putting on your rebreather.
Dive and look for a hole at the very bottom. Follow the underwater tunnel until you reach the entrance.
Exit the water and go forward through the cave until you reach a slope and a stream.
Roll down the slope to enter the pool of water and turn right to get out of the pool.
Enter the hole and continue through the cave system until you enter a large room with two dead people.
Stick to the right side of the cave to find another hole that leads to another large adit. One of the corpses in the room will have a lantern, so don't forget to pick it up.
Go to the back of the cave and follow the path until you reach another underwater part.
Swim forward through the underwater tunnel until you get out on the other side.
