Gaming insider Nick Baker, as part of another XboxEra podcast, announced that PlatinumGames plans to return to the development of Scalebound. Initially, this project was announced back in 2014, but in 2017 it became known that the game was cancelled.
The developers cited unspecified issues while building the project. Now the copyright holders have begun working on a new concept, which, however, is at a very early stage. Thus, it is still too early to wait for some specifics about Scalebound, and no confirmation from PG has yet been received.
Meanwhile, Microsoft, which PlatinumGames belongs to, has funded a number of other projects, including such long-term construction projects as Starfield and Redfall.
The success of the title is quite expected.
