Project Magnum is a new shooter with RPG elements for PC and current generation consoles that looks like a mix of Destiny and Devil May Cry.
The teaser trailer shown below shows off some impressive visuals. It features an Art Deco fortress shaded by an ominous adventurer-like sphere. Soon there are dynamic events and gunfights, although at a certain point we are shown a girl using ice magic. Then another character appears with a huge hammer, trying to kill the enemy with a shield, and others use a grappling hook to move around the location.
In some segments, the four characters can be seen teaming up, hinting at looter shooter mechanics, although the videos also showcase a world reminiscent of Capcom's Devil May Cry or even Final Fantasy. In addition to the shooter, the description alludes to "a role-playing game with unique characters."
Project Magnum is a working title, so it's pretty obvious that the game doesn't even have a rough release date. Developed by NAT Games, a subsidiary of Nexon Korea, which worked on Counter-Strike Online and Final Fantasy 14 . This is great news for fans of both online shooters and RPGs.
